Imagined Words of the Last Axolotl
Single Channel Video | (11mins) 2016-7

The film shows footage from inside an aquarium, under the surface of a lake to fragmented documentation of a performance. In the performance a large Piñata
of an axolotl is destroyed and put back together in a New York public park by a group of young people. The voice over attempts to imagine the voice of the
last Mexican Axolotl through a dialogue with the character from Julio Cortázar’s short story ‘Axolotl’ where through obsession the narrator of the story himself
transforms into an axolotl.
