Performance | An Intervention at The Ikon Gallery and Brindley Place Birmingham, UK | (1 hour) 2012

A Herd of young people navigate Brindley Place, a corporate business area that surrounds the IKON Gallery. The group of teenagers explore this alien and
perhaps hostile environment as a collective swarm directing each other autonomously, in a mixture of herding vocal terms and whistles. Their movements are
both a playful disruption and response to their surroundings, their behavior is inquisitive and builds to a potent youthful type of energy. The architectural
structures in Brindley place and the type of movements these invite inform the rhythm and tempo the herd creates, unleashes and leaves behind.
